City Chic

Hello, hope you are having a great week so far,

I always have a soft spot for classic/city chic look.  Great example is a simple sweater and skinny jeans with over-the-knee boots look.

Ah! Boots, I’ve been meaning to talk about this.  You must have seen me often with these Highland boots from Stuart Weitzman.  Well, I’d been eyeing them for over a year, really hesitant to spend over $500 for a pair of shoes, so I tried to compromise by purchasing the generic ones with similar style …and ended up hating them all due to several reasons; fit, style, and comfort level.  With frustrations and still refused to bite the bullet til one day Neiman had a promotion of 25% off on all boots (it was like I won a mini lottery!! Really grateful for this sale), so I bought them, and the rest is history.  I have runner calves, so they are HUGE.  Great thing is that Highland boots are stretchy, and that is a great benefit when it comes to fitting.

My advice, if you really like something and can see its use for a long time, don’t compromise by spending more on the knock offs version, save up and buy the right one.  The right shoes can boost your confidence, elevate the whole look, and the most importantly,…you can walk in them for a long distance.
