Green & Lime

Hello and Happy Monday!

How was your weekend?  I owe my mom the celebration since I’m far away from home, but got a glimpse of the family’s gathering through FaceTime, so that was pretty much the highlight of my Mother’s Day.

Today’s post features my new loved item, this H&M dress.  I adore the color and the air soft material that flows in the wind.  The style is really versatile.  It can be dressed up or down.  My first choice of color to incorporate into the outfit is lime and a pop of animal print.

Jumpsuit & Animal Print

Happy Friday to my lovely readers!

As much as I love jumpsuits, it has been one of my style challenges.  I did not have the confidence to wear since I had trouble of finding one that fits me well.  With the thought that my body must be out of proportion for this style combo, I gave up on the idea a while back.

Surprisingly, on one aimless wander night through TJMaxx, I stumbled on this beauty and was thinking of trying on for fun without any hope that I will go home with it.    To my pleasant surprise, I felt like the suit was custom made for my frame!  I’m also in love with the buttery soft material and the rich black color, perfect to pair with accessories that pop.

Lace Shoulder Top & Ripped Skinny Jeans

Wishing you all a happy Monday,

When it comes to accessories, I’m a firm believer in investing into a classic piece that will appreciate with time, especially with hand bags.  They also can be passed down to later generations if they’re well cared for.  When it comes to clothes, I’m quite on the contrary.  It’s all about the fit, and most importantly, pricing has to be reasonable.  So far there’s has not been yet an exception. My current main spots for clothes shopping are: Macy’s, TJMaxx, and Nordstrom Rack since they are walking distance from where I live.

This post features two of the great finds from the recent Nordstrom Rack hunt, my blush cut out blouse and structured taupe Furla bag.  There is nothing I don’t love about this top, from the soft color to the playful style with a triangle cut out from the back and the combining lace over the shoulders.  It can be worn with jeans for a weekend brunch or under a jacket for conservative work place.  Especially, with a $5 price tag, this blouse has made to the fab finds list.

Aqua Blue Jeans & Polka Dots

Just a quick hello and wishing everyone a good week.

We had a warm Sunday here in OC thoughout the whole day, so it was time for me to pull out my silk blouse that been in my closet for months.  I love the aqua blue polka dots on light brown tone.  It was a perfect time to pair this outfit with my neutral tone accessories.

LGD – Little Grey Dress

Hello,

As most of you can see by now  much I adore dresses.  They’re my safe daily choice, especially when I have to leave for work really early in the morning, not much to think about, less decisions to make, just one piece an voila! out the door! Same preference still applies for my date night outfits.

I can see this gray flannel dress saves me all the troubles.  It’s simple and elegant.  Pairing with heels, a clutch, and a pair of gloves, it can be the great Audrey Hepburn’s inspired style.  Combining with a pair of boots for a cool vibe, best for a fun night out.  Also, putting a top over to turn it into a basic skirt with the right amount of flare…Ahh! the posiblities are endless.  I promise you will see this again in my future posts with different pairing options.

Flower Dress Shirt & Chanel Cobalt Blue Boy

Good evening,

Hope you all had a good Easter Sunday with fun activities with your love ones.

If a shirt is a basic piece that every human should own, then dress shirt is the second basic piece that every woman should have in her closet.  I have a few that came and gone due to my change in weight and height throughout the years, but last few weeks I had a chance to revisit this style on my shopping trip to Macy’s, and yes! Have you noticed?  I’m a Macy’s royal customer.  It’s where I find ninety percent of my styles :).  I love the combination of colors and flower prints on this shirt dress.  The dark navy blue canvas makes yellow and white flowers more standout.  To add more vibrancy to the dress, I took my Chanel cobalt blue boy and beloved mustard yellow bootie (also seen here) for a spin.

Blush Pink & Red

by My-Linh // Aprill 17, 2014

Hello,

Spring has definitely sprung and pink is absolutely one of my must-haves color for the season.  I was lucky enough to stumble across this dress at Macy’s in the middle of the clearance rack a few weeks ago. I love the way it’s uniquely cut, especially with the shoulder portion that looks like a separate piece partial cover a deep V neck.  This fun and stylish dress is ideal to freshen up my spring wardrobe and…perfect for brunch! 🙂

Chambray Shirt and White Short

by My Linh // April 14th

Good Evening,

I can’t believe it’s already mid April! Hope everyone had your tax filed and done with for the year.  It is always a hectic time for me since my tax is more complicated, and being a procrastinator making April my worst month.

Despite all the chaos of April, at least we have spring and its benefits, more fun and colorful fashion around us!  Today’s post features one of my staples items of all time, very basic but classic, a chambray shirt.  I paired it with white short and cobalt blue accessories to emphasize the blue theme.

Tough Love: Studded Tank, Short Skirt, Cutout Boot, & Chanel Boy

 Hello and welcome!

It was love at first sight when I stumbled across this skirt at H&M a few weeks ago.  There are so many pairing options for this, and my heart was jumping with joy just imagining all the possibilities!

I don’t often have a preference for short skirts, but I fell in love with this one due to its soft and heavy elastic material.  The color is also a staple of any Spring/Summer wardrobe.  To add toughness to the outfit, I paired this skirt with a studded tank top and accessorized with cutout boots and my beloved Chanel Boy.
