Green Scene

 by My-Linh // April 7th 2014

Good evening,

Hope everyone had a good rested weekend and a “not so dreadful” Monday.

Today’s post is all about green hue!  This color is somewhat sentimental to me.  I had so much darker complexion growing up in Vietnam, and the default color for my outfits were green most of the time since I was told that green compliments my…almost brown skin tone.  If we celebrated St. Patrick days in Vietnam, then I was definitely in tune 5 days out of the week!

Now, needless to say my colors horizon expands so much more compared to the olden days.  I only have few pieces that are green, and this dress is the one that I absolutely adore.  I consider this my “Little Green Dress”.  It has been my great companion, can be worn with my cowboy boots for an errand day or with heels and a statement necklace, it gives me elegance and comfort at the same time.

Black and Blue Lace

 by My-Linh // April 3rd 2014

Good evening,

Hope everyone had a good day.

Mine was rather good and productive.  It’s time to unwind, relax, and do what I enjoy most; writing this blog entry 🙂

The weather in LA has been unusual cold for early April while the East Coast enjoys the warm spring days.  My outfit today is perfect for this hybrid weather we’re having.  The blue lace skirt brighten up the whole attire while long sleeves basic T helps me stand up to the chilly wind.

Me, Myself, and “Aileen”

Hello,

Hope everyone’s week has been smooth so far.

Today’s post is all about Spring trends, pop colors outfit and accessories.

 IMG_7872

My first assocation when “accessories” mentioned is hang bags,  and with that,  I’m so excited to show case the newest member of my collection,  “Aileen.”

This season Salvatore Ferragamo surprises me with more pop colors to the new collection, instead of the usual conservative basic hues.   Besides the cobalt blue that was like magnet drew me to the bag, the versatility totally won me over.  Comes with both; handle and a removable strap, allowing  “Aileen” can be carried in four ways;  hand, shoulder, cross body, and as a clutch.  What more could I ask for??? 🙂

Also, last weekend I had a chance to check out DVF’s Journey of a Dress exhibit before it ends.  It was nice to see the history of Diane’s iconic pieces.

If you’re in the LA area, I recommend to check it out.  The exhibit has just been extended to May 1st.

Thanks so much for your time and wishing you a wonderful weekend with your loved ones.

Good evening,

Hope your Monday was not as long as mine.  It’s always my least favorite day of the week.  I guess for most people as well, but I guess that makes us appreciate Fridays more 🙂

When in doubt, go black and white… and that what happened to my features yesterday:) the outfit was a mixture of outing and office attire, combine with a light jacket, this can go from day to night.

Stripes & Leather

Wishing you all a Happy Friday and this 2nd day of Spring season!

It feels like Christmas just passed.  I can’t believe Spring is already here! As much as I don’t like how time just flies by.  I have to admit Spring is my most favorite season of the year, because it associates with COLORS.  Life is just more vibrant in this season.  Spring fashion also has a nice breeze of freshness, after months of “cover up” styles.

Today’s blog feature my basics, stripes crop top and over red leather skirt.  Even though it’s not with vibrant colors, but black/white stripes top is one of the staples in my closet.  It’s my best friend when I need the illusion of slender figure.  For now, it’s a great transition piece, pairing with red is timeless.

Lace & Gold

Good evening!

Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and ready for a busy week ahead.

It was a beautiful day in LA, quite warm for spring.  It was round 81 degree.  I had on my gold tweed short, lace top, and gold stripes sandal to combat the hot weather.

Black & Beige

Good evening!

I’m almost late for a Monday posting due.  As most of you can see, the website is still under going with final touches.  I keep finding flaws here  and there.  It takes so much time but a good learning process.

I feel the weather decides to skip spring and going straight to summer here in LA.  My feature today has a color that works for all year round, BEIGE.  The color is such classic and versatile.  Since I’m yellow and would not want to sink into my outfit, I decided to pair with top has black stripes.

Capelet Top & Jeans

Good morning!

It’s Friday!!! Hope everyone have a productive week so far and fun weekend plans ahead.

Today’s post represents one of my most favorite colors combination, RED & TURQUOISE.  They compliment each other well.  Adding a black tank top creates color blocks for this outfit.

We stumbled across this old town.  There was a red telephone booth that went well with the theme 🙂 There’s something about “old town” that gets me everytime, so peaceful and romantic.  It’s a great cheat for a quick getaway.

Thanks so much for reading!

Wishing you all again a fun and relax weekend.
